Why Couples Therapy?
Most couples do not come to therapy because they have stopped caring about one another.
They come because they have lost their way to one another.
Perhaps conversations quickly turn into arguments. Perhaps one of you feels unheard while the other feels criticized. Maybe you've grown distant, find yourselves walking on eggshells, or feel caught in the same painful patterns no matter how hard you try to change them.
You may be recovering from a betrayal, navigating the challenges of parenting, facing a major life transition, or wondering whether the relationship can find its way forward.
Whatever brings you here, together, we’ll slow down, understand what is happening beneath the surface, and begin creating new patterns of connection.

How I Work With Couples
When couples become stuck, the problem is often not simply the content of the argument. More often, it is the cycle that develops between them—the repeated pattern of pursuing, withdrawing, criticizing, defending, shutting down, or escalating that leaves both partners feeling alone.
Relationships are shaped not only by what happens between partners today, but also by the experiences, attachment patterns, and emotional wounds each person brings into the relationship.
My goal isn't to decide who's right or wrong. It's to create a space where each of you can begin hearing yourselves—and each other—in new ways.
My couples work integrates:
Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT)
Attachment Theory
Parts Work
Depth Psychology and Psychodynamic Therapy
The Gottman Method
Conscious Relationship Principles
Together we'll slow down enough to understand not only what happens between the two of you, but why these patterns keep repeating. As they become more visible, new ways of relating can begin to emerge.
Rather than determining who is right or wrong, we focus on understanding the patterns that keep you stuck and helping you develop new ways of relating that foster greater safety, connection, and understanding.
“The meeting of two personalities is like the contact of two chemical substances: if there is any reaction, both are transformed.
